#TRBotschafter vorgestellt #6

I have been to many races over many places and even if this is not a pure hardcore trail race like the ones I’m more used to do, the place is beautiful, the atmosphere, also the time of the year is ideal and it’s very cool that runners from other disciplines come here and give it a go, makes the level higher if you look on the performance side of things.

Purely focus on running I would say just after the COVID crisis. Before I was still doing some cycling and triathlon still. Right now it’s been a while since I have been injury free but a normal week I would run around 5 times a week some times twice a day.

I was meant to do the race 3 times but I only got to do 2, one of the times I sliced open one of my knees the week before the race so I couldn’t be on the start line. Not very ideal.

September?
I will definitely go for the XL. Go big or go home, right? Two loops in the forest its nicer than just the one.

I would say stay calm at the steps because normally there is always a bit of a traffic jam at the beginning and then pace yourself on the downhills and uphills so you can actually run on the more runnable bits. There is no shame on walking, some times you preserve your muscles and energy by doing so, depending on the terrain and the pace you can actually produce.
